Paraguayan Harp
The Paraguayan harp is one of the traditional instruments of Paraguay. A man named Antonio Sepp originally brought the harp to Paraguay and taught the Guarani Indians how to play (Paraguayan Harps). Since this time the Paraguayan harp has evolved into the national instrument of Paraguay (Paraguayan Harps) This type of harp is unique because it has 38 strings rather tan 36 (Paraguayan Harps). This harps also has “taquitos” which are wooden rods used to make a note sharp (Paraguayan Harps). This harp is also tuned to a higher pitch then most harps which allows them to create a unique sound. The harp has a different sound because it is lightly strung, and can also be used to play most different styles of music (Paraguayan Harps). The Paraguayan harp is a world renowned instrument. Many people outside of Paraguay play this harp professionally such as Miss America 1985 (Paraguayan Harps).
